[bdNOG] Applications now open: ISOC Internet Governance online eLearning course

Dear Colleague,

Applications are now open for residents of the Asia-Pacific region for
the Internet Society’s Internet Governance online eLearning course, and
will close November 22, 2015.

This is a moderator-led course which will arm participants with core
concepts in Internet Governance and allow them to understand, follow and
contribute to such discussions.

The course covers 5 modules which focus on Internet Governance
principles, policies and how they apply to development:

- Introduction to Internet Governance

- Internet Actors and Stakeholder Groupings

- Internet Policy Principles

- Regulatory Frameworks

- Internet Governance for development (IG4D)

The course will run for 5 weeks starting November 30, 2015 and complete
mid-January 2016. Candidates successfully completing the course will
receive a completion certificate.

The course costs are funded by the Internet Society’s Asia-Pacific
Bureau, and there are a limited number of seats available through a
competitive application process.

The selection criteria includes:

- The applicant must live and work in the Asia-Pacific region

- The applicant is a member of the Internet Society. Individual

- The applicant has an interest in Internet Governance related discussions

- Priority will be given to applicants from the Pacific Islands and from
developing economies in Southeast Asia and South Asia

Selection of participants will be done by an evaluation committee and
